Several years ago, when we first found these candles at market, I wasn't too impressed. These items have come a looooonnnnng way since then. We have pillars, grubbies, tapers, etc. again in all shapes and sizes. These candles are not only battery operated but also have timers. We set our candles to come on at 11:00 each day and they will "burn" for 8 hours", shut off and then turn on each day at 11:00. Many of our customers tell us they use these for nightlights by setting their timers for 11:00 p.m. and they burn all night. Maintenance free! I am a true beliver now. You may not even know these are run by battery they are so realistic.
